| I have no idea where to post this! If you could be any biker in the world, whether it be a race rider, film star or icon of any era, who would you be? If it were modern day, I'd be Casey Stoner. Young, Aussie, Races a Ducati and has a hot wife!! Back in the day, probably Steve McQueen. Film Star, good with the ladies and loads of money. Remeber, it could be any rider in the world. Foggy, Rutter, Sheen... anyone!
Yamaha FZS 600 Fazer ... in gold! Ride safe, and look out for the Rainbow of Death! There're only 3 kinds of people in the world, those who can count, and those that can't. Roses are red, Violets are Blue, I'm a schizophrenic ..... and so am I! Take pity on the man who invented the drawing board, when he screwed up, he had nothing to fall back on. Stuff everything, I've always got my bike.

| Well, Sheene had the very lovely Stephanie McLean - but I wouldn't want his medical history. It's gonna sound cheesy, but I'm quite happy being me, I enjoy my riding (even if it's not majorly skilful) and I wouldn't swap with anyone. If you're asking whose skill level I would like to have, well, where to start. Jeffries for the roads, Vale for the track and Ghost Rider for his skill in riding sensibly in traffic would be a good start.

Tricky question me thinks. I like being me but the skill level of Revvin Kevin Scwantz, ('Brake when you see God') the cahoona's of Wayne Gardner (for the ability to wrestle the bike around once I'd realised I had seen God but moments too late to make the turn), I like the plain talking of Colin Edwards (he doesn't appear to give a damn if his swearing upsets people), Agostini is up there for his achievements and the fact that he rode that famous works MV, god the list is endless, gonna have to go away and cogitate.....

BD what do you mean 100k a year, these people are on that a week.. Now thats what I'm talking about..... I am a man of modest ambitions and simple requirements. £100K a year would do me nicely, thank you. I could give up work and ride the bike any time I wanted. I could afford a new bike every year to add to the collection. I could pay someone to tidy up my garden. That would be around £1500 a WEEK after tax for goodness' sake. Now £100K a week puts you in the Premiership footballer class (does it?). Look how they end up spending their money and ask yourself if you want to belong to that kind of people. I doubt if I could spend that kind of money, although I am sure I would try, but I'm not sure I would like the person I would become. No, £100K a year is fine. Payment by BACS into my current account, please.

Let's not talk about "What would you do with £100,000" as you know it'll develop onto, "What would you do with £1 million and so on and we'll be here for hours! But in answer to your question, yes, 100k a week is a footballers salery. Just for kicking a ball into a goal, when there are doctors and nurses out there saving peoples lives earning peanuts by comparison.... grr, ok, not going down that road.

| Well, as this has been resurrected, I'm pretty much in total agreement with BD. Too much money is a curse I could do without: I like to buy books, music, films and bikes and frankly I already have more of each than there are hours in the day to enjoy them. Time is more precious than cash, as long as there's enough to pay the bills with a bit left over: who really wants to live in Chav Manor throwing Hello-style parties for a million hangers-on who only like you for your bank balance? I'd like to be able to afford some good, long touring holidays, is about all, but even those would be at the cheap "real-life" end of the market... As for the original question: if I had to be any biker other than me, it'd probably be Eddie Lawson, both for his ability to find the limit without crossing it and for his dry and deadpan humour. Failing that, Stanley Woods, perhaps the best TT rider of all time and an equally understated individual. There was a classic interview with him explaining how he broke the frame on his bike on about lap 1 of the senior TT, made it a bit tricky to steer but he finished the race anyway. Now that's style.
