Is it me, or is everyone fed up of recession, gloom etc?
I'm a biking journo, freelancing for insidebikes web mag, occasionally do bike reviews on ukbike.com too.
I am thinking of going to Assen WSB to watch BMW 1000 in action, make a feature out of it possibly... hooking up with BMW owners who might get to see their brand winning at top level, for the first time in 30, 40 years?
I am probably goin with MCi tours, they have package deal, dover-calais ferry, gronignen b n b room, race ticket, 400 quid all in...
anyone else saying sod it, let's go somewhere on the bike this summer?

| Never been much of a one for gloom myself, and recession is pretty much a self-fulfilling prophecy best left well alone. Be impressed if BMW do get a victory in their maiden year, but they've got good riders and I don't suppose they'll be putting anything too rough and ready out on the track! Sounds like a nice trip, though, even if you end up watching Ducatis winning... I'll be saying: sod it, let's go everywhere on the bike this year (as usual), but haven't got anything special sorted. We'll see how work goes, it might just be a lot of riding between the south coast and west midlands the way the year's shaping up!
