I think this goes here!

Well my speedometer stopped working working after i crashed my bike, new speedo cables are pretty cheap so i ordered one. When it came it wasn't exactly the same but very close (the end that goes into the speedometer is metal not plastic) so i thought it would be OK. Unfourtunately it isn't, got my dad to fit it and i don't know exactly how but he basically just tried to force it in and i think the bit the cable goes into is now broken. The speedo itself seems to work but is now stuck on 40mph. It will move if you turn the other end of the cable, but to get it back to 0 you have to tighten the tope end and then it won't move at all...if that makes sense?? O

^That went a bit wrong and now it won't let me edit or delete.

Meant to add that the bit at the tyre end also doesn't work, the new cable won't screw in properly and something seems to be rattling around in there. I don't know if this happened when we took the old cable off or putting the new one on. Anyway i now seem to have a cable that works but a bike that doesn't. Oh and the old cable now doesn't fit either!
