I'd read this before but not quite believed it until started commuting again recently. The traffic on a Monday morning doesn't seem so bad - whereas Tuesdays are AWFUL - and then Wednesdays quieter still!
This does seem a strange phenomenon - does it mean more people are working at home on a Monday?

| To be honest, I haven't noticed it. I suppose it depends on where you're coming from. It's a short blast from home to work and back again and only about 10sec on the A23 so I miss it all. Having said that though, the traditional 4x4 school kid tank on the school run does cause problems. Fridays tend to be nice and easy... probably because I finish early.

| It's a perception thing. The traffic is every bit as bad on a Monday, but you are so strung out after the weekend you don't notice. Lorry, what lorry?
