Not sure where to put this, but it's a sort of game, so it goes in the 'Games' category.
Trawling through another biking forum recently, I came across a thread of biking quotations. Some were good enough to share with you guys. I've cut out the really cheesy ones (mainly down-home US how-fecking-obvious-is-that wisdom), the religious ones (except two that appealed to me) and the one-make ones (except for one about Harleys that made me laugh). I haven't attributed any of them, as most are by that prolific writer Anon, but discerning readers will recognise one by HST in there. Not all are great, but most have something to recommend them.
The first is my all-time favourite. Please feel free to add any that seem relevant.

Bikes don't leak oil, they mark their territory.
A good rider has balance, judgment, and good timing. So does a good lover.
Young riders pick a destination and go... Old riders pick a direction and go.
Always back your bike into the kerb, and sit where you can see it.

I'd rather be riding my motorcycle thinking about God than sitting in church thinking about my motorcycle.
98% of all Harleys ever sold are still on the road. The other 2% made it home.

You only need two tools: WD40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD40. If it moves and it shouldn't, use duct tape.
There's the V4 thing: there's just something about it that inline fours don't have, and V-twins have too much of.

| Well, it made me laugh. Particularly the one about Harleys. Might have to trawl through the old memory bank: most of the quotable quotes I can remember are from the racetrack rather than daily aphorisms and hence not quite as relevant. Apart from, possibly: They have two wheels, sometimes they fall down (Lawson, or possibly Doohan) Wait till you see God, then brake (Schwantz) I used to love the rain because I felt like it made my motorcycles exactly the same as everybody else's (Schwantz) And of course: What do I like about GPs?......The crumpet, I s'pose (Sheene) And, whilst not strictly speaking about bikes, I've always quite liked: There are only three sports: mountain climbing, bull fighting, and motor racing. All the rest are merely games (Hemingway) Calling upon my years of experience, I froze at the controls! (Stirling Moss).
