Hi the names matt,

I'm starting up a bike building business and I want to build
new and different bikes, im starting out with a sports cruiser
thing, thats the best way to discribe it. It has centre hub
steering, a gsx 1300 engine which is new, front and rear
swing arm and looks very different, think different as in
the dodge tomahawk but looks like an actual bike not a car.

What i am hoping to do is create more different bikes that
explore different chassis, engine layouts, suspension,
steering, fairings, everything and anything really.
Unfortunately im a builder not a concept designer.
Thats were any of you may fit in. If you have any ideas,
drawings, plans or just ideas, please get in touch either
through here or send them to Matt-j-chapman@hotmail.com,
please write your name and D.O.B on any drawings or ideas
and full credit and possibly cash (if the ideas mature into
the real thing) can be forwarded to you.

Cheers matt

Hello Matt.

Hope you have luck with the business.

Just out of interest, what limitations on concept are you looking at? Presumably you're not going to be building engines from the ground up, so is it just frames and bodywork, or tuning/supercharging/turbo/nitrous kinds of things as well? And are there material limits - also presuming you're not going to be doing bespoke extruded aluminium beams and that sort of exotica? Just makes it a bit easier to be realistic in ideas if there's some guidelines as to what can practically be achieved!

Have a donor engine, usually, materials are anything that is required, ali, stainless, mild steel, titanium, carbon fibre, kevlar. Basically different bikes that do the same job. get you from a to b. The bike that im working on at the moment is constructed from stainless, with a hub centre front end, kevlar fairings and a 1300cc plant.

Fair enough - sounds pretty comprehensive. Got any pics, or a website, showing the work in progress? It's always nice to see new and interesting designs/engineering on the two-wheeled front.

If I have any brilliant ideas, though, you'll be welcome to have a crack at them.
