OK you lot, you just gotta look out for this ride next year. That then will be Unity Ride 1V. Somewhere in excess of 1500 bikes I rekon set off from Excel down by Docklands yesterday and the site and sounds throughout the ride through London were something to behold. If you want some idea of what it was like then I sugest you go have a look at some of the pics and vids taken during the day. Go to http://unityforum.unityride.co.uk/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=SF;f=7 and take a look through. If you think it's a long way for you to come there were bikers from Dorset, South Wales, North Wales and all the home counties plus some.
Don't slide unless you mean too.Be sure, ride safe and enjoy

| Sounds like you had a good day out there, rebelman. Better than mine at work, anyhow...maybe next year! At the risk of hijacking the thread - how's randomgirly getting on with her quest for a bike?

Thanks for asking Endem, Random is still trying desperately to sell her Corsa, mum is pleased about that though! Her spirit does not dampen and she was fair green eyed about my London trip on Sunday. I must get a few more miles in to get my confidence brimming then I can take her on the back. Miles is a strange thing, a young lady by the name of Emilly rode alongside myself and Hornet man (In his brand new red Honda jacket) most of the ride through London and was really very accomplished, when I asked how long she had been riding she said 2 months on the ER6 she was on and about 2 before that as a learner. But she comuted from Portsmouth to Crawley every day 5 days a week and so had clocked up some 2000 miles in the 2 months! Me on the other hand I have covered about 1700 since last October. No wonder I still feel like a novice sometimes. Hahaha.

Be fair to yourself, though...it's not entirely a valid comparison: the ER-6 is also a far easier ride than your Trumpet. For all the (quite nice actually, especially the new faired ones) angular styling, Kawasaki make them as unthreatening first-big-bike commuter tools so they are quite forgiving bikes. The Triumph is a more serious proposition altogether! Lots of miles are good and fair play to your lady friend, but you're still out there right way up, so credit where it's due...!

I am agree 100% with you. Good girls don't ride bike.
You have to keep something for the bad girls. I think you can understand my speech.

| For the first time in decades, the fate of American foreign aid to Egypt, a total of $1.3 billion annually, hovered over the administration’s deliberations. Because of a new Congressional restriction that requires the State Department to certify that Egypt’s government is committed to democracy.
