| I'm a fan of all that old school stuff, so go right ahead monsieur, Any advertising slogans worth a sneer with regard to the massively popular at the time Pirelli Phantoms which I have to vote as the most rubbish tyre of their day, I know so many people who raved about them at the time, I had some on an old gessie thou once, hells teeth! they were virtually brand new, but they had to go, replaced with some Metzeler me33 and 99, handled like a proper bike again. There must be some Phantom marketing bullshit in those tomes somewhere!

| OK chaps, I'll have a try when I get a minute - probably posted under Classics, or something. Actually, Hoov, it's the adverts that are often the funniest of the lot. I noticed some things straight away, like phone numbers beginning with '0' rather than '01'. But I had been reading ages before I realised what was really missing - no web addresses! For further info on a product advertised, you had to "phone Steve", or even write to them with an SAE!
