Has anyone checked out James on Babelgum? It's an online TV platform, catered for the motoring community, where you can get all the latest on MotoGP and WSB. James is an ambassador so you get all the latest news on him and his progress in MotoGP exclusively there first. It’s free as well.

Well done JT on another excellent result. I heard he was suffering but did I hear the commentators correctly when they said something about clearing out all orifices except one (or words to that effect)?!*

With the Pneumatic motor everyone is talking about -  podium position soon?

On that particular issue, isn't it amazing how obsolete technology becomes and how discarded it is. I think it was the Honda tech geezer being interviewed saying how great Pedrosa and Hayden were riding (and they both rode a great race respectively) despite the fact that they had the seemingly rubbish, old hat, past it, making do with, an obsolete valve spring motor, and would you believe it a steel valve sprung motor at that. Two seasons ago this was effectively the basis of the championship winning motor.

And what about Colin Edwards saving that potential lowside? I've always rated him as a rider despite the fact that he hasn't really cut the mustard in MotoGP. Reminds me of Revvin Kevin, he was a lanky streak of **** as well, but had a great attitude and they both rode/ride their bollox off.

I reckon if Edwards had stayed in WSB he would be up there with Fo Garty in terms of championship wins. Can't blame him for trying MotoGP given the opportunity, its a pity he had to cut his teeth on that feckin awful Aprilia.

Anyway well done JT good to see a Brit cutting it at the top again.

Nearly forgot Bradley Smith got a podium as well, didn't see the race but he deserves a hearty slap on the back. How long before he moves classes?

Have we seen the last of Rossi's domination, is there a chink in Stoners Bridgestone armoury?

Where the **** has Melandri got to? I tipped him to be right up there this year, given his rides over the last couple of seasons. C'mon Marco get your **** in gear Loris must be laughing his bollox off on that Suzuki.

Sideways through time

Good point about the pace of technology change, although I didn't think the Hondas looked to be suffering on top end or power, to be honest. Remembering how poor the bike was last year in comparison, perhaps dodgy old valve-sprung engines will be a convenient face-saving excuse for Honda having made a not particularly special bike in the first place, if they don't carry on winning?

By the looks of it, it's the tyres that make more of a difference than the motors at the moment. Bet Rossi's wishing he hadn't spat his dummy to get on to Bridgestones now. It's early in the season to write him off, but I'd be quite surprised if he ever gets to truly dominate the series again.

I'm still not a big Toseland fan, but once again he did ride a blinder (bronchitis, they said on Eurosport, without mentioning his orifices directly...). Any other season he'd already be a shoe-in for rookie of the year, but the new boys are pretty much all on the pace this season.

Edwards in MotoGP I can't really figure out. He is a much better rider than his results suggest. A few years back at the German round of WSB he took his Honda to victory on a slick tyre in the wet and I don't think I've ever seen a better display of riding skill in adverse conditions. As you say, can't fault his dedication or talent: just don't understand why he continually fights his way backwards through the grid...

Melandri's always blown hot and cold: I think he's just destined to be another Checa or Barros!

If you didn't get to see the 250s either, you missed an absolute classic: around 10 seconds ahead of everybody else and on the last lap, Simoncelli opted to quite arbitrarily torpedo Bautista amidships and take them both out, leaving a rather surprised Kallio to cruise to victory. Highly entertaining!
