Funny, that - in Roop's thread we were commenting about how important it is to double-check the basics before jumping to conclusions...! And you did, in all fairness, mention in the original post that it was showing 180f (twice) - 180 Centigrade would have had you grinding to a halt in clouds of superheated steam. +10 points for giving the right answer to the question of how to check the fan... -several hundred points for not realising it was the wrong question...

Still, the best problems are still ones that aren't problems at all!

That's good news - and another "you'll never believe it, but ..." for your store of biking anecdotes.  Great of the bike shop to sort it over the phone too - I wonder how many would have called you in, kept the bike for a week, and returned it to you with a three-figure bill?  Good guys.
