I'd be careful for a start!

It's all well and good dropping in a new lumb, but the frame is designed to take a 49cc engine. So is the chain and bearings and every other moving part. If you double the engine size you have to double the stopping power, else you'll just fly off without being able to stop properly, so bigger and stronger brakes. Having a very short wheelbase makes it flicky in the corners, but more unstable at high speed. Depending on what your idea of top speed is, you may need to extend the wheelbase to stablise it. The chain needs to be stronger as it's going to be under more stress as it's moving faster. Extended fuel tank if you're racing as it'll use move fuel. It'll be heavier but that's a fair moot point as it's a minimoto!

Does the engine actually fit? I know it's only a 110cc engine but I can imagine it being bigger than the 50cc that a MM should have.

lol welding and thats no problem i have all the uprated bits anyways i e.g  chain / wheels / stock / etc..... and as the brakes are concerend lol ill just leave the standard ones on they should be good enough and the top speed should be round about 75 -80mph so it'll be a rocket lol im only buildin it to see if it can be done lol as far as i know nobody has put a thumpstar 110 engine into a mini moto frame

Got any pix of the total sum of parts which we can then compare with the finished article once you've completed the project? You could post a diary type thing of your progress, it certainly would be an interesting project to see come to fruition.

I'd be interseted to see how you've done too. If you've got all those parts ready to go then I wish you all the best in your quest to build a Thumpstar powered minimoto! Keep us informed of how you're going as I think a few more on here would love to know too.

This is going to be one mental machine!!! I've heard that riding a normal moto is tricky enough to start with. With this having loads more power, i bet you'll be meeting the good old ground a lot!!!

The car in front, is now behind!
