| OH COME ON!!! Why is it the MotoGP has gone stale? I watched the Jerez race on SUN and was bitterly disappointed. Rossi leads from the start so that was boring. The only real action was back in 4th, 5th, and 6th! Well done to Stoner again. Seemed to be going backwards but at half race distance, pulled it out of the bag. Hayden... what the hell? Started very strongly, got a good postion... then faded. Lost so many positions it was silly! Poor Hopper, That wasn't planned was it? Again, a strong race, proving that Suzuki have the power. He was on a charge then *slip* away it goes, down he falls. Anyone else have any views?

| No sooner do I rant about the GP a few weeks ago, the author comes along and rips up the script, burns it, pisses on it to put it out then uses it as kitty litter. What a race!! It was fantastic to watch, nail bitting stuff. It's taken a few races but it's back to how it was. Congrats to Stoner once again. Gifted first by Rossi (proving once again that he's only human) and kept it upright. Elias... man of the race for me. Fantastic drive from him, barging past Rossi and getting down and dirty with it. If only he can continue this trend. I can see him as a high finisher in a few races, but will he win a vital race like he did last year? Hopper, did so well, again proving Suzuki have what it takes, but started to charge backwards at 3/4 distance. Rossi, well, no idea... tyres? Barros, again, fantastic ride, came close to being my man of the race. Poor Edwards though, taken out by Jacque. Pedrosa gets tangled and Vermeulen's bike lands on his! Credit to Vermeulen though, picking it up and getting into the points. Finally, MotoGP is back. I hope we can have as much fun in the next race. Shanghi, 6th May coverage from 7.45am Live and full repeat at 3pm.

| Yep, brilliant race. I had to go out (family commitments), but got back and switched the telly on to see Pedrosa and Vermeulen skittling across the track. It just got better from there. As for the Shanghai race [1], I won't see it as I shall be in Ireland on a long weekend away - on the Bandit! First proper biking holiday for about 3 decades! Yay! [1] I first wrote that as Shaghai. Freudian slip?

lady p (25/04/2007)
So you are off for a dirty weekend with a Bandit, hope Mrs BD is happy with that, I cant believe you are going tho, I am really trying hard to save to go there, would love to see Giants Causway and the like, if you are going again this year give me a shout would love to go but bit nervous of going on my own.... (you know georgeous chick all alone on those lonely roads, anything could happen to me)......... Dunno about a dirty weekend - we're staying with Mrs Dog's daughter and three kids, so any naughtiness is likely to be confined to swearing at Irish drivers on the M50 round Dublin. Mrs Dog is indeed happy - it was her idea! We went for a quick spin last weekend (5 miles turned into 40 at her request) and when I turned round she had booked the ferry. I thought the price was a bit cheap, and she said she had booked for the bike, not the car. After I picked myself up off the floor ... This weekend it was 70 miles on the Saturday (see other thread concerning Scottoilers) and then "don't you think we should just go for a short run on the Sunday, just to check everything is OK?" So we're not sightseeing as such, never mind the Giant's Causeway, but that is a definite possibility for future trips. If you can make it all the way down here, you'd be very welcome to tag along. Gorgeous chick, motorcycle, "anything could happen" - how could I refuse? Looking after two women, though - I'd need to get in training.
