'P' I'm only guessing, and apparently it's never safe to assume but as you are an XT riding leedy my assumption is that you take it 'off road' occasionally. Also based on previous posts involving chutney, bondage very long legs and 'filth' I am conjecturing something very long legged with special internal pouches for knee armour suited to the taller laeedy and coated with some hi tech coating to allow any gentleman with a hose to attend to your filthy predicament. If no handy hosed gentleman motobicyclist in the area then naturally whilst thrashing around amongst your chains (in the privacy of your own home with consenting adults) then cue the washing machine to clean your sullied attire. Please don't tell me you wear leather whilst thrashing around in the mud. It's a nightmare to clean you know and the weight of stinky wet leathers would neccesitate dry cleaning, bypassing the chore of sitting on a gently vibrating washing machine listening to the sussuration of your chain links clinking in time with each revolution.

No as of yet I havent taken her off road, we dont have many green lanes here and to be honest it cost a bit of cash to get her pink so I am a bit afraid of dropping her... I am trying to get a group together to take a few bikes off road but its still in the pipeline... (bbq weekend somewhere remote where the farmer isnt adverse to a few bikes tearing up his field) I do have leathers but they dont get that mucky being a lady I keep my gear clean and lubricated, nothing worse than dry and brittle equipment. I cant unfortnatly sit on my gently vibrating washing machine as it does everything but gently vibrate, I usually find it in the middle of the kitchen as its had some kind of attack and ventured out of the hole I put it. Sitting on that would be taking your life in your own hands and you know the outcome wouldnt be good....

Didnt know mazz was a locksmith, handy to know if I ever lock myself out, but I must say BD's answer was very very funny....

I know some people who have cleaned cylinder heads in their dishwashers (and very effective too), but I imagine cleaning and lubing your chain in a washing machine would propbably be the last straw for most marriages.

The pinlock is legal, it's an attachment and not the primary protector. Graded visors I think are only produced by Bob Heath, not sure about the legality

You say Primary lens, who about the anti fog insert? I have a Shoei and I have the option to have a fog insert (it acts like double glazing). Can this be tinted? Also, I have seen gradiented visors too. Clear at the bottom, shaded up top. Still Illegal?

Summers here and all the young dudes will be sporting the latest in Iridium allure, was trying to point out that, have one if you want one, but looking great doesn't neccesarily allow you to see very well, been there, done it, nearly crashed. Bought some glasses.

The Law says that the primary visor (i.e eye protector ) should be ZA rated I think and must not block out more than X percentage of light. That's why black and iridium coated visors are illegal. Sure they look cool, but they cost a packet scratch easily and you can't see bugger all out of them in certain situations.

Let people choose though I say!

I went through a series of tunnels and open road once on the bay of Genoa. Bright sunlight and then gloom of tunnel, by the time I had lifted the visor to see in the tunnel I was out the other side blinded by the sunlight and then back into a tunnel. It was a bloody nightmare, all |I could see was sunspots. never worn one since. Anybody ever heard of any rider prosecuted for having a black visor?

Anyway if you want a black visor get a Caberg or a Schuberth or summat, they have a secondaty visor in black etc, as they are not the primary visor the law doesn't apply. It's the same as wearing a radical pair of sunlight no option shades underneath a clear visor. You still can't see a bloody thing but apparently it is cool and not illegal.

Yes, hands washed. Only just got the Chutney off, it gets really sticky if you leave it on there for too long! Btw, ferrets LOVE chutney. Especially mango Chutney.

Sorry I've not been around much but I've been on Jury Service so I haven't been in front on a computer in a while. (I got a Death by Dangerous driving case... the guy who died was on a Kwak ZZR 110... R.I.P)

I was going to ask a serious question... Tinted/mirrored lenses for your lid... legal or not?

Just escaped from the kitchen sink to put in a reply... now your suggestion would be great, Phoned Frank the other day to see if I was paying too much for my dangerous substance (that is to be honest not that dangerous or not a substance) but Frank wasnt so happy.... I dont drink beer but I lurvvvee me fags.... On the subject of gear... shoei XR1000 .... beautiful! Finally got used to the breeziness of it, but with summer rolling on nicely it's quite refreshing.

Roadhoover, Just want to say thank you for recommending the Alpinestar boots at the NEC.

Goretex Innerlined so its warm and dry in winter, but breathable in summer. Very comfy too, even with thin socks on underneth.

Finally gotten used to the new gear lever position and the feel of the rear brake too.

Alpinestar, 5 stars from me!
