Right next time I'm going to wear something really bright like a 80-90's fluro t-shirt still bring the dog & smoke (therefore stopping the lemon impression).

You'll avoid me on purpose then!

It's good to hear that some many people enjoyed an event in my home town. Even the locals didn't moan this time.

I felt soooooo sorry for Hornet boy, he was just getting so frustrated towards the end. We got off the parking lot that is the M25 at the Hemel turn and went into Hemel to take the Leighton Buzzard road out and on towards MK, it's a nice twisty sort of road and should have been good fun-------- Hornet led and Intruder was followed by me-------------- Hornet did make a break for it occasionally but I stayed with Intruder. He (Intruder) has 6 points on his licence and that is why he is so reluctant to do more than the speed limit, not that I of course ever do more than what is recomended for that particular road! I am a good citizen with good behavoral paterns and no agressional tendancies to go reaking havock on our country roads at speeds in excess of lightning-------------Ah maybe going over the top there.

She who must be obeyed thanks you for the lid and is being persuaded to partake in a little jaunt out on Wednesday night towards the RAT pack new meeting pub just off J13 M1. White Hart in Husborn Crawley. 7.30pm if any other trumpet riders are reading this up my way.

's a good reason to take up smoking - for lemon-free hanging around, light up a tab, lean back on something and look surly. Well, works for me, anyway... Sorry we missed you, Wilf: next time!

I'm glad the lid fits, rebelman: hope it helps do the trick of getting the boss to ride with you! Did you and Hornet Boy manage to persuade the Intruder up to a sensible speed for the trip home, by the way?

Hello Chaps,

I was there, but I didn't see anyone, so I felt like such a Lemon standing there with nobody around. Gutted not to have seen any of you.

If you saw a small female with a ginger dog that was me!!

It was fab, way too many beautiful bikes. One of the marshals both laughed & complemented my wheels, it was the only GN that I saw.

Blommin well organised & yeah fab music.

Morning all, I just thought I would bring the congrats to the organisers for the event to the correct section! LOL Nice to have met you guy's Mazz & Endem and I did get to glance Hoov but he was so busy being a judge he did not notice myself and Mike walking back to Mikes bike to clloect the lid he had bought along for me. Thanks for that my friend as it does fit the wife so she has no excuse not to try going for a spin with me! Great day and I well enjoyed the music from the rock n roll stage which had me wishing Ruth had been there so we could have shown off our jive skills (We went for evening classes). Can't believe so many people can stand still when music like that is playing! What hapened to Wilftop? I thought she was going to get to the UKbike van at 2 as well?

I've been known to do a good lurk too, but only if the brain is in gear and the memory part is switched on! 2.00pm sounds good to me though. See if BD gets there? It would/could be a boringly good cruise as an opener for him.

I think we need to set a time to meet up at the UKBike stand otherwise we'll all miss each other!!

What does everyone say to about 2 o'clock at the UKBike stand? If I remember correctly they'll have a rather nice London double decker bus there too so you can't miss it!!!!!!

For those who may be interested there are 2 real ale festivals in Bton the same weekend.

The first in Hanover Fri-Sat at the community centre & the second at Hove open market. A good way to start the weekend if anybody was thinking of making a weekend of it.

It's about 2/3 hours from Milton Keynes I think, see the brains going cos I can't remember how long it took last time I was down that way. Such a boring ride though so the end had better be sunny and warm in it's wellcoming. Really looking forward to having a destination other than work!

Nothing much wrong with GNs: reliable little bikes, if a little shy at the top end. And if you're happy with it, that's the only thing that counts.

Still up for the trip myself. Only about 15 miles down the coast for me. Hopefully it'll be GSXR rather than TDM weather...

Now don't laugh...most people do. I've got a Suzuki GN250. Black & Orange.

She may not be the biggest or fastest but she goes like a little devil & we like each other, she looks after me & I look after her.

Doesn't help when you've only got short legs.

It'll be about a mile from home for me, but I will be there.

Now don't you start Wilftop! Hope all has been put right now with regards the date, Hoov did the rectifying. Nice to see someone else from the site taking an interest. I thought it was only old gits like me that worried about dates an stuff as well as needing to be reminded of everything about an hour or twwo before I need to know! Must remember to pollish me bike as well, bet if I do it will bucket it down on the way.

Well, that's enough of that for a few months! Oh, hey guys!! Sorry to make a random entrance like that, I was off fighting evil space monkeys in a paralel universe, that's why I haven't been on here for a while. Funny coincidence I should return to the normal realm and end up here! Oh well, could be worse, could've been Russel Brand's dressing room!

Anyway... yes, Brightona! I see it's that time of year again! I'll be there. Worked there last year with Hoov and it was a blast! Great weather, great bands, great atmosphere and loads on offer in the stalls. Fingers crossed for another.... well.... great year I guess!

I'd best explain the real reason I haven't been here in sooooooooooooo long, but I'll post it up elsewhere.

Hoov, just had a look at the calender on here and it is showing Brightona as 5th October. A little worrying as I have taken off the 12th. Please confirm the 5th is not the date by changing the calender. TY

Cool, hope to see you there - I'm sure I will be bothering Hoov as well!

My helmet does actually say "88 Endemoniada" on it in big white letters (it's a style thing: I'm sure it convinces people I am, in fact, a race hero whiling away the hours between glorious victories. Or something very like that).

Sympathise about Sunday working: I know I'm supposed to be in doing some computer stuff that some people at work consider to be important, but, hey, they can reschedule it or find someone else. Luckily, our out-of-hours activity is all voluntary...

Right Endem, I will be the one with the big white Shoei helmut! Ah that might not mean much then. I will make a point of going over to bother Hoov anyway at somepoint during the day so may see you there at the bus. Saddly Mickaela has not yet disposed of/sold the Corsa and therefore has not got onto getting her bike yet. She will also be working on the Sunday anyway so will not accompany me down. However, I have spoken to a guy I used to know in my village and it turns out he is going down on his brand new Suzi Intruder 800 (He has very short 27.5 inside leg and it suits him down to a tee) so I hope we will cruise down together so I got some company if Hornet man does not come.

There must be others heading down?

That sort of price would seem reasonable, given your long-standing reputation as a purveyor of fine garments to the great unwashed. I'd buy one, if they were available.

Wear a white carnation or something rebelman, so's people can recognise you and say hello: are you planning to bring randomgirly down with you (how's her car sale getting on, by the way)?

This old man hopes to trundle down from MK. Will come to the stall for a look see and if I can afford it and the Hoodies have indeed been sorted then perhaps I shall part with some hard earned. Coffee and chips with a walk along the front and pier before the trundle home. Makes a nice day out for me apart from the ride down and back on the motorways, shame this takes up so much of it!

It's been a bloody scorcher the last two years, so fingers crossed and all that.

I am looking to produce a limited run of hoodies actually, possibly for Brightona.

Very high spec garment (none of your pony cheap nylon jobs that go baggy after two washes, organic fibres etc)which will then be printed on. dependant on price etc, probably be about £25-£30.

Are there any takers out there for that sort of money if they were produced?

I've arranged with the chap who created the new Brightona logo punk painter Richard Stone of www.portisart.com to give me a prize of a free bespoke oil painting, which can be won at the show. The subject matter can be your own choice. You've gotta come along whatever the weather Endo, A to say hello again, smoke roll ups and drink strong coffeee, as well as for checking out all the bikes and the music.

Make a note in your diaries for The Brightona Bike festival Sunday 12th October.

Madeira Drive Brighton.

Eddie Kidd special guest signing autographs, stalls, bands all day - three stages, custom show, hot rods, food, dyno, loads of bike parking space and loads more going on, entrance on foot is still free (though donations are welcome) and a fiver per bike (not per rider)to get into the event (that includes a pillion if you bring one).

All welcome, bikers, trikers, scooters, rock n rollers, hot rod fans, family's.

Custom show entries and stall holder enquiries welcome

The organizers are hoping to raise over £20,000 again this year, so come along and support the south coast's leading bike event.

Who says bikers have a bad name?
